Head Coach Alex Scichilone
|
Coach Alex is the Head Coach of Connetquot Swim Club and has been coaching
for the past 13 years. In addition, Coach Alex is currently the men and women's Varsity swim coach at Connetquot High School. He is also the Head Coach of the Junior High swim team. On the club level he has trained top eight and under, Silver, Junior Olympic, Zone, Top 16, Junior National, U.S Open, and National Qualifiers. He has spent most of his life involved with the sport. He trained with the Connetquot Swim Club during his swim years and was captain of his High school team. Coach Alex is a High School Math Teacher at Central Islip Senior High School. He is a Certified First Aid, lifeguard & CPR instructor. Also during the summer months Coach Alex is a senior Ocean Lifeguard, and e. He enjoys staying physically active, competing in triathlons, and watching kids swim fast. Coach Alex prides himself on developing the "total athlete". He believes each swimmer has an opportunity to use the sport to learn the skills necessary for a successful life, while having fun and swimming fast at the same time. Physical, mental, emotional, and social traits are all aspects of his philosophy. His goals include developing each athlete at every level in swimming to their greatest potential.

Bryan Krut

Coach Bryan continues to coach at CSC for 11 years now and is dedicated to the program and swimmers. Coach Bryan is 34 years old and has been a part of the CSC program for over 25 years. He was team captain at Connetquot high school in 10th, 11th & 12th grade. Bryan is very honored to be working with the CSC athletes and looks forward to this years accomplishments by all swimmers, parents, and the coaching staff.
Coach Bryan is the Junior Elite Gold & the Juniors Coach. His main goal with his swimmers is to assist them with the proper tools necessary to be a fast and competitive swimmer. He will push each individual to their highest level of mental and physical strength! It is his job and duty to make sure each swimmer he coaches reaches his or her goals.
Bryan is Certified in First Aid/AEd and CPR and for over 18 years continues to work on Fire Island as an Ocean Lifeguard. He competes in lifeguard competition and successfully placed first in most of the swimming/open water events. Bryan competed in the Cape May, National Lifeguard Competition placing in the top 5 in the long distance open water swim and first in the line pull. He won the Cross Bay Swim four times. In 2002 he competed in an Olympic Long Distance Swim from Port Jeff, L.I. to Conn. 22 miles, Coach was the only United States swimmer and finished 11th out of 37 swimmers.
Coach Bryan says that every athlete has the potential to be great but those with the 3-D’s will be unforgettable and nothing can stop them!!

 Coach Christine Biondi

This is Coach Christine's 5th year coaching the Sharks with CSC. Christine swam on the Connetquot Junior High and Varsity teams while she was in school. She currently has a Masters degree in Elementary Education and works as a first grade teacher

Coach Gwen is an accomplished age-group and college swimmer. This is her 5th year coaching at Connetquot Swim Club.
